Certification

• UL/cUL Listed:  Listing for Panic Exit Hardware and 3 Hour rating for Fire Exit Hardware
• ANSI/BHMA Certified: Devices are A156.3 Grade 1.

Applications

• 8550S (smooth)/8750S (grooved) Narrow CVR Exit Devices are used primarily for glass aluminum double door applications
• 8550F (smooth)/8750F (grooved) Narrow Fire Rated CVR Exit Devices are used primarily for appearance reasons for listed fire labeled double  doors up to 8’ x 8’ (2438mm x 2438mm)

Finishes 

• Lawrence Hardware Exit Devices are available in the following architectural finishes:  US3, US4, US10, US10B, US26, US26D and US32D.

Latch Bolt

• Top latch - 5/8” (16mm) throw.  
• Bottom latch - 5/8” (16mm) throw.  Held in retracted position during door swing

Dogging

• Panic Device - Hex Key Dogging (RD) standard
• Fire Exit device - No Dogging (ND)

Fasteners

• Panic Device - Machine screws furnished standard for HMD and SNB furnished for top and bottom latches
• Optional (SNB) can be ordered separately for device

Door Opening Height

• Available for Standard door height of 7’  or  8’

Vertical Rods

• 1/2” (13mm) diameter tubular.  Top rod has two pieces for accommodating 7’ or 8’ doors
• Bottom rod is one piece with a length of 31-1/4” (794mm)

Projection

• Push bar Neutral 3-1/16” (78mm).  Push bar Depressed 2-19/32” (66mm)

Wide Stile Device Length 8600/8800 Series

• The Device lengths are precut for 36” (914mm) and 48” (1219mm) wide door use (standard shipping size). 

The Short Device, 36”

• (914mm) has an actual end to end length of 33-1/2” (850mm) suitable for a 36” (914mm) wide door use. Push pad length is 18-1/4” (464mm)
• The short Device can be cut down to a minimum end to end size of:
• Standard Device (S) 27” (686mm)
• Fire Rated Device (F) 25-1/4” (641mm)

The Long Device, 48” 

• (1219mm) has an actual end to end length of 45-1/2” (1156mm) suitable for a 48” (1219mm) wide door use.  Push pad length is 21-1/2” (546mm)
• The long device can be cut down to a minimum end to end size of:
• Standard Device (S) 31” (787mm)
• Fire Rated Device (F) 28-1/2” (724mm)

Vertical Rods

• Our standard and fire rated vertical rod exit device accommodates up to 8’ (2438mm) doors.  Fire rated devices may be ordered for up to 10’ (3048mm) fire exit doors.  Specify door height if greater than standard 8’ sizes when ordering.
• Note:  For fire rated devices consult door manufactures literature for maximum allowable door height & width.
• End to end length does not include latch bolt.

Narrow Stile Device Length 8500/8700 Series

• The Device lengths are precut for 36” (914mm) and 48” (1219mm) wide door use (standard shipping size). 

The Short Device, 36” 

• (914mm) has an actual end to end length of  34 1/4” (870mm) suitable for a 36” (914mm) wide door use. Push pad length is 18 1/4” (546mm)
• The short Device can be cut down to a minimum end to end size of:
• Standard Device (S) 27 (686mm)
• Fire Rated Device (F) 25 1/4” (641mm)

The Long Device, 48” 

• (1219mm) has an actual end to end length of 45” (1143mm) suitable for a 48” (1219mm) wide door use.  Push pad length is 21-1/2” (456mm)
• The long device can be cut down to a minimum end to end size of:
• Standard Device (S) 32-1/2” (826mm)
• Fire Rated Device (F) 31 (787mm)

Vertical Rods
